Iran on Friday downed a US UH-60 Black Hawk chopper hours after reports surfaced that the Iranian forces shot down an F-15E jet. The chopper was targeted near the Iranian border. As per reports, Black Hawk chopper was on a rescue mission to save fighter jet pilot after the stealth aircraft was targeted by Iran. Multiple Iranian state news agencies reported that Tehran had captured a US fighter jet pilot after they shot down an F-15E over Central Iran. Some reports on social media also claimed that it was an F-35, however, later it was confirmed that the downed jet was F-15E according to the photos and videos shared by various handles on X.
Reuters quoted an affiliate of Iran state TV claiming that US fighter pilot ejected from an aircraft in southwest Iran but was later captured.
As US forces launched a massive search operation deploying two Black Hawk choppers and a CJ-130 plane, looking for the missing pilots, an Iranian missile hit one of the Black Hawk helicopter. This latest elevation in the fighting was captured on camera after a video surfaced on social media showing the exact moment when the chopper was downed by an Iranian missile.
Friday witnessed a sudden escalation of fighting between US and Iran after American forces destroyed Iran’s tallest bridge on Thursday when President Donald Trump claimed that the “biggest bridge in Iran comes tumbling down, never to be used again — Much more to follow! It is time for Iran to make a deal before it’s too late and there is nothing left of what still could become a great country.”
Trump, building upon his Thursday threats, once again warned Iran on Friday saying, “Our Military, the greatest and most powerful (by far!) anywhere in the World, hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran. Bridges next, then Electric Power Plants! New Regime leadership knows what has to be done, and has to be done, FAST!”
Amid this, Trump in another post a while ago hinted for a possible action in Strait of Hormuz saying, “With a little more time, we can easily OPEN THE HORMUZ STRAIT, TAKE THE OIL, & MAKE A FORTUNE. IT WOULD BE A “GUSHER” FOR THE WORLD???”
Iran Warns US, Says Their Soil Will Prove Graveyard For Aggressors
Earlier on Friday, Iranian commander Ali Jahanshahi said that the soil of Iran is the graveyard of aggressors adding their special forces are in “full readiness” to challenge any conflict. Jahanshahi’s threat came as Trump in his Wednesday’s Prime Time address warned to push back Iran back to the ‘Stone Age’. However, US President’s threat received a strong retort from Tehran as they mocked Trump of living in Hollywood delusion saying a 250-year-old country was trying to threaten a 6000-year-old civilisation.
