TAWAU: A 53-year-old man pleaded guilty at the Sessions Court here today to seven charges of raping his biological daughter between December last year and March.
The accused, a teacher at a tuition centre in Lahad Datu, entered the plea after all charges were read separately before judge Ahmad Faizadh Yahaya.
According to the charges, the man raped his 25-year-old eldest daughter at several hotels here, beginning in December 2025, with the latest incidents taking place on March 18 and 19.
The accused was charged under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code, which provides for imprisonment of between eight and 30 years, as well as not fewer than 10 strokes of the cane, upon conviction.
Deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Haikal Hazwan Md Yatin appeared for the prosecution, while the accused was unrepresented.
The court fixed June 23 for further mention pending the victim’s medical report before sentencing.
On April 8, the Lahad Datu Sessions Court sentenced the same accused to a total of 165 years’ imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to 11 charges of raping his two daughters, aged 25 and 22.
Judge Suhailla Selag imposed 15 years’ jail for each charge, to run separately, and ordered 10 strokes of the cane for every offence.
It is understood that both victims had allegedly been subjected to abuse since they were aged 15 and 18, and were threatened with physical violence if they refused.
